Father’s Day Note

Happy Father's Day to every father, grandfather, stepdad, mentor, and father figure reading today. And to those spending today missing someone they love, I'm holding you especially close in my heart.

Summer is here and a time to slow down and take in the beauty all around, a time to get out in nature and reconnect with family and friends.

The older my kids get, the more I realize how much life is happening in the small moments we almost miss. The late night movies on the couch as a family and the bedtime stories and prayers before bed. Travis playing songs in the background as the kids and I make dinner. Last night as we were eating Kingston said out of nowhere, “Can we do our rose, thorn, middle, and vine?”

We all sat there and shared what made us happy that day, what made us sad, what was funny (the middle, the kids created) and what we are looking forward to. Those are the moments that I cherish in my heart, so simple and a way to connect with our kids after a long day.

Lately, I’ve been especially grateful for the rhythm we’ve created as a family in the past year. Travis has been touring, creating music, and somehow still manages to show up with so much presence and intentionality for us.

I love watching him as a dad, he was meant for this role, whether he’s jumping on the trampoline or in the pool with the kids, taking each one on the electric bike around the neighborhood or singing the kids to sleep after a long day, all of it, reminds me of how lucky we are to have such a present, funny, caring, and sometimes a bit crazy dad and husband.

He is a special gift to me. God knew exactly what my heart needed. He believes so deeply in my work and encourages me to keep sharing pieces of my heart when normally I don’t think to share. Are You Here?would not exist in the way it does without his support, creativity, and willingness to dream alongside me for bigger things and brighter tomorrows.

That season also inspired the music Travis was writing. We initially called the first draft of the song “Dragonflies. It was a shared experience of grief from Gigi’s passing, healing together as a family, and faith that connection transcends time, space, and physical presence.

Over the last few months, I’ve been in awe of how much we’ve accomplished TOGETHER.

Grief softened me in ways that not even motherhood did. It opened my eyes to beauty, vibrant colors, and perspective that everyone is going through things we may not see.

I used to think healing meant finding a way “through” grief. Now I think it’s more about learning how to carry it with tenderness. How to let joy and sadness coexist. How to stay open to wonder and curiosity again.

One of the greatest honors has been hearing your stories too. The signs that found you at the right moments. The songs that reminded you of someone you miss. The moments your children said something that felt heaven-sent. Every message reminds me that we are far more connected than we realize.

There are now more than 200 people in our Are You Here? Prayer and Grief Community, and while I can't respond to every message, I'm continually amazed by the way you've shown up for one another without me having to ask.

As we step into summer, I’m trying to choose presence over pressure.

More barefoot evenings chasing fireflies in the grass. More listening to the soft sounds of nature. More laughter around the table. More trust in God’s timing. More moments that make life feel fully lived instead of rushed through. My prayer is that you all feel that.

And my hope for you this month is simple:

That you feel connected.
That you find guidance from the unexpected.
That you remember love never leaves us.

Thank you for being here. Truly.

With love,

Jenny Robinson Clark

I met a woman named Heidi at a Joe Dispenza workshop that gave me a children’s book that ignited a spark in me as an author and I would love to thank her. Can anyone who was there in 2023 connect us?!

FATHER’S DAY

Gifts that make DADS feel special

Travis really went above and beyond for us on Mother’s Day, and it reminded me how important it is to celebrate the fathers and father figures who show up so wholeheartedly for their families every single day.

Father’s Day doesn’t have to be elaborate to be meaningful. Sometimes the most special gifts are the ones that say: I see you. I appreciate you. I notice all the little things you do that hold this family together.

For Travis, it’s usually the thoughtful, personal things that mean the most — handwritten notes from the kids, a slow morning together, a favorite meal at home, meaningful books, music, memories, or anything that creates connection and time together. We pause for much needed date nights and make spontaneous videos LIKE THESE when we can.

Watching the way Travis shows up for us in both the big moments and the ordinary ones is one of my favorite things in the world. I’ve been thinking a lot about how lucky this generation is to have dads that lead with so much presence, creativity, patience, and love.

If Father’s Day is less joy and more dread, that’s okay too. We can be grateful for the time we’ve had with the ones we love, even if they are no longer physically with us. It’s a helpful reminder for us all to make the most of the time we have together.
