Together At Peace
I know it’s been a while but I wanted to update you on the first 200 people to Advanced Reader Copies (ARCs) of Are You Here?
On September 28th, 2025, Travis and I had the honor of attending Together at Peace’s Sparkle of Hope luncheon— a beautiful gathering dedicated to celebrating the lives of our loved ones who have gone before us. It was a day wrapped in light, community, and heartfelt remembrance.
Together at Peace’s founder, Christine, pours her heart into this event every single year. She not only creates a space where grief is understood and embraced, but she also raises money for meaningful bereavement care in the community. And let me tell you — her compassion and her light is felt in every detail. From the moment we walked in, you could sense her love and intention shining through. Her heart is pure and her passion to help others is undeniable.
I was so humbled to be invited to attend and sign copies of Are You Here? — my children’s book about love that continues even after our loved ones are no longer physically here. Knowing that my story might bring comfort to families navigating grief is one of the greatest gifts of this journey. To see how it was received was incredibly touching and I was honored to sign books for those that attended.
But one of the most moving moments of the entire luncheon was when Travis performed his song, “Are You Here”— the song that inspired the book. His voice filled the room as everyone listened, I always say his voice is that of an angel's. It was a beautiful moment to witness watching everyone connect in love and remembrance.
Then came a moment I will never forget.
At the end of the song, Travis invited everyone to close their eyes… picture the one they were missing… and together sing the final line:
“You are here.”
And they did. A whole room, eyes closed, hearts wide open — singing directly to the ones they love.
It was powerful.
It was healing.
It was magic.
I left feeling deeply connected to every soul in that room. We were strangers, yet somehow family — united by love and hope.
Christine is doing such important and beautiful work through Together at Peace, and I’m incredibly proud to have been a small part of this year’s event. If you feel called, I encourage you to visit Together at Peace and see how you might support or serve those who are grieving. Even the smallest gesture can be a spark of hope for someone hurting.
Thank you for reading, for being part of my community, and for supporting me along this journey.
It means more than you know.
With love,
Jenny
